A collaboration with Will Kendrick

The work re-situates the bothy within its original context, bringing the Scottish outdoors into the center of the city. The work highlights fundamental parts of human experience, our longing for natural beauty, our constant need to travel and our quest for sublime experience. The work considers the importance of the sun, water and close connection to nature human beings share all around the world. The project aims to give glimpses of this beauty and its importance for us to experience as well as its necessity for us to survive. The work offers a reflection of this experience without attempting to replicate it. The footage features light and environmental situations specific to the north highlands coast.
