Moon Studies

2018

Moon Studies illuminates the impossibility of observing the dark night sky or following celestial events in cities due to increased amount of light pollution. Within two weeks of its installation, the work began to live a life of its own, erasing the site’s advertising history from the billboard.

Materials: Enlarged printed, cut and collaged images of James Nasmyth’s and James Carpenter’s book The Moon: Considered as a planet, a world, and a satellite on advertisement board and pavillion structure at Plaza Ca’ Zenobio, Venice, Italy.

City intervention, Venice Architecture Biennale 2018. Curated by WAVEparticle, Scottish Pavilion – HappenStance 18.
