‘Plantae Spiritus Plasticus’ consists of deflating inflatable sculpture and a looping ambient soundscape composed by Dutch sound artist Alina Valentina. The sculpture deflates every hour for a 45-second period of time.

The hourly appearing sudden deflation of the sculpture creates an uncanny moment in the botanical garden where control is ever-present.
